This week I have chosen Carine Roitfeld for my fashion inspiration. Carine was the editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris from 2001-2011 and is one of the most amazing stylists out there. Since leaving Vogue, she has done many freelance gigs, including Chanel’s fall 2011 and spring 2012 ad campaigns. This fall she has two new projects debuting. One is the launch of her own fashion magazine, CR Fashion Book (I cannot wait!) and the other is a line for MAC cosmetics. This collection will focus on the eyes, strong brows, and nude lips-her signature look. I love her “grunge” look and unique style. She is a true inspiration for all fashionistas out there!
So very Parisian, and I love the boots.
She started her career as a model and quickly moved behind the scenes at French Elle.
Huge fan of army green pants, especially when they’re dressed up with heels.
Denim skirt dressed up with blazer and heels.
She’s one style icon not afraid to recycle. Here the denim skirt takes on a more beachy vibe.
Her ad campaign for MAC will be in black and white. Very unusual for a cosmetics ad, but totally Carine.
With her book “Irreverent”, which was released last Christmas. It is the ultimate fashion book.
A peak inside her fabulous book.
Carine Roitfeld “Irreverent” is available at Amazon and is now $58.82 (was $100). I still need to pick up a copy!
Carine is truly a role model for anyone interested in fashion. I can’t wait to see what she does next!
