Pre-Fall 2012

I know it seems a bit early to start thinking fall, but I can’t resist posting my favorite pre-fall looks. There are retro throwbacks, both tailored and feminine pieces, structured shapes and girlie details. Yes, these are high-end looks, but you can expect elements from these pieces popping up in the ready-to-wear market. There’s a little bit of everything and I’m excited to see how it all translates in the mall environment. Here are my favorites.

Color blocking sweetness by Roksanda Ilincic. This is just so fun!

Twenties flapper by Louis Vuitton. Love the 20’s style and the details here are amazing.

Sailor Fur by Marni. I always love me some fur, but pairing it with a sailor vibe is so unexpected, yet somehow works.

Bows by Valentino. I really like black and white together. This is like little girl fashion all grown up.

Gold delight by Carven. This is almost monochromatic, but the different textures make it interesting.

Blood orange by Givenchy. Wow-this is fantastic. This is just the first look that features opera length gloves (good thing I already own a pair).

Floral by Gucci. I really dig the silhouette of this dress. The floral print jazzes up a very neutral palette.

1920’s fab by Sportmax. Again, the flapper vibe I am loving. Add fur, gloves, and a bowler-adore!

Grown up cargo by Derek Lam. I always love an “army” look and this is sophisticated while being playful.

Satin delight by Lanvin. I am a huge fan of Lanvin and this is just scrumptous.

Casual rocker by Rag & Bone. This is the most ready-to-wear look and I think it’s edgy and sweet.

Green goddess by Reed Krakoff. I generally shy away from color, but I love this. The accessories really add a level of glamour.

Old Hollywood by J. Mendel. This just screams ’30’s movie siren. Super luxurious.

Parisian chic by Alice by Temperley. This can be worn exactly as it’s shown. J’adore!

Blue heaven by Rachel Roy. I really think this is beautiful. A piece that can easily go from day to night.

Animalistic by Diane von Furstenberg. This is an example of how accessories make an outfit. The top and skirt are basic, but all the other elements make it a show stopper.

Looks like fall is going to be very fun and flirty. For more photos and information on pre-fall 2012, check out Fabsugar

I love baby blue and red together. I especially love the Gucci floral and the Sportmax. Fall is my favorite fashion season!
