Style Inspiration-Jenna Lyons

This week I wrote about the amazing outfit J. Crew’s Creative Director, Jenna Lyons, wore to a Met Gala. Lyons is the master of mixing casual and glamour, which is (I believe), the secret to the company’s success. I decided to feature her as my style inspiration this week because she is the queen of pairing unexpected pieces and creating looks you want to emulate. You’ll see what I mean…

The ultimate in pairing casual and glamour. Who else would think to put a cashmere sweater with a bridal skirt? Absolute perfection.

An army green anorak with a flapper dress. Love the black tights and shoes with it!

Fur, sequins, army pants, and black heels. I want this whole ensemble!!!

Without the jacket we see the top is off the shoulder-my favorite silhouette.

I love pink and orange together (they were my wedding colors). This is fun and whimsical!

This is the ultimate J. Crew look. So put together, great use of color and pattern.

A basic striped tee with dazzling sequin pants and killer heels.

Jenna is not afraid to recycle! Here is the striped tee paired with the army pants. Throw on a sequin jacket and instant glamour is achieved!

It’s not hard to see why I would pick her. Jenna just might be my new idol!!
